Pastor Charles
Lead Pastor
Charles Shumbambiri is the Lead Pastor, a role through which he faithfully serves with a deep commitment to teaching and discipleship. Raised as a pastor’s son, Charles developed a strong spiritual foundation from an early age, shaping his dedication to ministry and the Word of God. Gifted with a unique ability to both sing and teach, Pastor Charles communicates biblical truth with boldness, simplicity, and practical understanding. At the heart of the ministry is a passionate commitment to making disciples and Pastor Charles is devoted to raising and equipping members to grow in faith and know.
Leadership Team
Our leadership team serves alongside Pastor Charles, supporting the vision and day-to-day life of the ministry. We are made up of dedicated individuals who faithfully serve across different areas, helping to create an environment where the congregation can grow in faith, build community, and encounter God. We serve across several key areas:
Prayer & Pastoral Support
Providing spiritual covering for the church through prayer in person or online, as well as offering care, encouragement, and support to individuals and families within the congregation. You are warmly invited to join us for corporate prayer, each Sunday before the main service.
Training & Discipleship
Equipping and nurturing members of the church through teaching, mentoring, and discipleship, helping each person grow in their understanding of faith and their walk with God. You are warmly invited to join our Discipleship Training, each Sunday before the main service.
Praise & Worship
Leading the congregation in worship and creating an atmosphere that encourages people to connect with God through music, praise, and shared expression of faith.
Events & Community Engagement
Planning and coordinating events and gatherings to foster connection, fellowship, and a strong sense of community.
Operations & Stewardship
Overseeing the practical and administrative aspects of church life, ensuring the church runs smoothly and effectively in support of its ministries.
Finance & Accounting
Managing finances with integrity and transparency, including budgeting, financial planning, and the responsible handling of resources to support the work of the ministry.

Oxford Word of Faith Church
We meet at 10am every Sunday at Barton Community Centre / Barton Neighbourhood Centre in Headington, Oxford. We’d love to welcome you!
